How we met
Michelle and Eric first met in college, hanging out with mutual friends on Austin's infamous Sixth street. Sixth street has sparked many Texas romances, most lasting hours, others lasting decades, however no such sparks flew for Michelle and Eric. Good fortune, considering neither was single at the time. They shared laughs, libations, and went their separate ways, neither giving the moment a second thought; just another fun night among a collection of many.
Reunited and it feeeeels so goooood.
Michelle went to work for General Mills in Arizona after graduating, while Eric was an intern in Minnesota. Eventually, the company moved her to Minneapolis, and Eric came back to the Twin Cities as a full-time employee. Coincidentally, he moved into the apartment complex neighboring Michelle's, so in addition to sharing an employer, they now shared a zip code. Some call this 'serendipity' -- others, 'stalking'. A friendship quickly formed, as the two Texans spent months dreading the impending winter and weeks deciphering Minnesotan accents (what is a bayg, and why do i need one for my groceries?)
A friendship snowballs.
Michelle became the subject of Eric's affection and Eric grew on Michelle like a fungal rash. The telltale signs of a friendship becoming something more came quickly. The volume of text messages grew while the time between responses shrank. One person missing their flight home because it meant an extra weekend with the other. Friends of both noticed the constant mention of a new name they hadn't heard before. Finally, courage was summoned, pity was given, and a first date was agreed to. They shared laughs, libations, and haven't parted ways since -- the first fun night among a collection of many.
